Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously solve the deterioration of characteristics due to adjacent delay wave existence in an adaptive array antenna and the increase of arithmetic amounts in a likelihood system estimator by operating weighted synthesis to a branch metric, and estimating a transmission signal system by using the likelihood system estimator. SOLUTION: An adaptive array 10 for extracting a direct wave extracts a direct wave from the demodulated signal of each array antenna, and an adaptive array 16 for extracting one symbol delay wave extracts one symbol delay wave. Adders 13 and 19 subtract the outputs of replica generators 12 and 18 from the outputs of the arrays 10 and 16, and output an error signal. The output signals of absolute value square calculators 14 and 20 are inputted to multipliers 15 and 21, multiplied by weighting factors #0 and #1 calculated in a training period, and outputted as branch metrics in the arrays 10 and 16. A likelihood system estimator 23 estimates a reception signal system based on a synthesized branch metric, and outputs a system and candidate signal.
