A communication network switching apparatus comprises: a connection means, provided between a plurality of communication networks and a telephone set, for connecting the telephone set with any one of the plurality of communication networks; a receiving means (S21) for receiving a call originating number that the telephone set transmits; a storage means for previously storing a correspondence table defining the correspondence between a call originating signal and the communication network; a determination means (S22) which retrieves the correspondence table using the received call originating signal and determines the communication network to connect the telephone set therewith; a voice message output means (S25, S31, S37) for outputting a voice message to a terminal; and a control means which causes the voice message output means to output the voice message for reporting the communication network to be connected upon receipt of the call originating number at the receiving means.
