Abstract:
To provide a technology in which a user is able to grow attached to a robot operating autonomously while one robot embodies both a communication function by autonomous operations and a communication function by operations based on operational instructions given from a person present in a remote area.SOLUTION: A communication robot comprises an operation section, and a communication arbitration section which exposes a robot mode for causing the operation section to autonomously operate by applying a first operational reference, and an avatar mode for causing the operation section to operate based on operational instructions given from a remote operator by applying a second operational reference, for arbitrating communications amongst three parties including the robot mode, the avatar mode, and a service user.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
