A communication system includes a first communication apparatus and a second communication apparatus for intermittently receiving a synchronizing signal from the first communication apparatus. The first communication apparatus includes a receiving timing determination part for determining information expressing the receiving time of the synchronizing signal based on receiving synchronization accuracy information notified from the second communication apparatus. The second communication apparatus includes: a receiving part for intermittently receiving the synchronizing signal at the receiving time of the information expressing the receiving time determined by the receiving timing determination part; a reception control part for measuring time for time synchronization; a time lag detection part for detecting a time lag of time measured by the reception control part based on a difference between the synchronizing signal intermittently received by the receiving part and a previously stored synchronizing signal; and receiving synchronization accuracy notification part for notifying the first communication apparatus of the receiving synchronization accuracy information expressing the measurement accuracy of time in the reception control part.
