Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for performing communication by blink further smoothly.SOLUTION: A frame image acquired by imaging an eye of a subject with a predetermined frame rate, is used, and when eye closing in which eyes of a subject are changed in a closing direction is determined, and after determination of the eye closing, eye opening in which the eyes of the subject are changed in an opening direction is determined, it is determined that the subject blinked with consciousness for indicating intention. Therefore, the blink with consciousness is determined even when the subject does not continue to tightly close the eyes for a constant time. Therefore, even when a subject with weak muscle force blinked with weak degree in which eyes are not completely closed, the blink with consciousness is determined accurately, and communication by blink is performed.
