To provide a communication system for measuring a power deviation between polarized waves using a simple structure.

In a communication system, a modulation unit superimposes signals with different frequencies on a plurality of lights, respectively. A polarized wave composing unit performs polarization multiplexing on each of the lights superimposed with each signal by the modulation unit. A receiving unit receives specific information based on strength of the signal that is measured by a measurement device provided on a transmission path of the polarization multiplexed light which is polarization multiplexed and transmitted by the polarized wave composing unit. A control unit controls intensity deviation between polarized waves of the polarization multiplexed light based on the specific information received by the receiving unit.
