Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system and a vehicle-side communication device enabling shared use of an on-vehicle wireless communication device by a remote lock system and a TPMS.SOLUTION: An ECU performs authentication processing between the ECU and a wireless key and stores the result of authentication processing. If a result to the effect that the authentication succeeded is not stored, the ECU selects a wireless key as the partner of wireless communication and does not wirelessly communicate with a sensor unit. If a result to the effect that the authentication succeeded is stored, the ECU wirelessly communicates alternately with a wireless key and a sensor unit. This enables a remote lock system and a TPMS to operate at the same time. If an IG switch changes from On to Off state, the ECU also stops wireless communication with the sensor unit and wirelessly communicates only with the wireless key. If a fault occurs in the wireless communication with the sensor unit, the ECU stops the wireless communication with the sensor unit and wirelessly communicates only with the wireless key.
