Abstract:
To provide a communication system using a visible light emitted from an illuminating device or an optical display device for communication which can reduce power consumption required for the communication.
The communication system comprises a first communication device 1 and a second communication device 2. The first communication device 1 has an LED array 6 for emitting a visible light on a display panel 5, and a modulator 3 for performing intensity modulation for the visible light emitted from one part of LEDs being constituents of the LED array 6. The second communication device 2 has a photodetector 7 for converting the emitted light of the LED subjected to the intensity modulation by the modulator 3 into an electric signal.
