Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a frequency of wasteful data communication in automatic mail acquisition processing.
SOLUTION: The communication terminal device 1 is connected to a server device 2 for storing mails addressed to the device 1 through a communication network 3. A control unit 11 in the communication terminal device 1 sets plural mail receiving times Tt within a mail-receiving time period WTC defined by an operator every day, performs data communication with the server device 2 by using a communication processor 14 whenever the time Tt arrives, and consequently acquires mails that are not acquired so far. Each mail receiving time Tt is a time that is earlier by an integral multiple of a previously defined mail-receiving interval t1 than mail receiving start time TS within the period WTC defined, in accordance with the operation results of an operation part 12 of the communication terminal device 1. Consequently, the communication terminal device 1 can reduce the number of execution of wasteful data communication with which a mail cannot be received and also suppress the traffic increase of the server device 2.
