To obtain a communication terminal which can prevent erasure of data when changing a communication band, and reduce degradation of a data transmission speed.
A data division processing unit 4 divides transmission data into subframes, and adds headder information and a CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Code). A control unit 7 outputs an instruction to switch the communication band to a transmission unit 5 based on a band assignment signal for a band change request. A subframe whose transmitting period overlaps with a switching period of the communication band is stored in a buffer 6, and a code which shows that there is no succeeding subframe, is added to head information of a subframe which is transmitted immediate before the switching period. If the switching period finishes, the subframe stored in the buffer 6 is read out, and transmitted.
