To show and output an inputted telephone number in such a manner that it is easily recognized by a user by inserting a specified symbol just before or after a numeric value and showing it in the case of continuing pressing down a key only for a fixed time or highlighting the preceding and subsequent numeric values to the values for the fixed time.
A controlling part 2 receives an input of a signal that shows which key is pressed down from an inputting part 1 and shows and outputs a numeric value represented by the key on a displaying part 3. And, when a clocked time exceeds a preliminarily set time, the part 2 inserts a preliminarily set symbol (e.g. a hyphen) just after the numeric value and shows and outputs it. That is, the part 2 clocks a time when a user goes on pressing down a key and if the user continues pressing down the key for more than a fixed time, it inserts a set symbol into the position and shows it. A specified symbol is inserted just before or after the numeric value and is shown in this way or a numeric value inputted before the fixed time is highlighted.
