To provide an effective communication tower in place of a steel tower.
In a communication tower 1 in which communication equipment 3 for transmitting/receiving communication signals is integrated inside the top of an independent cylindrical tower body 2, the tower body is formed from a cylinder 4 composed of a fiber reinforced resin having magnetic permeability as a whole, and a reinforcing steel frame 5 composed of steel covers the area except for the periphery of the communication equipment. The reinforcing steel frame is composed of a plurality of inner flanges vertically located at intervals inside the tower body and a number of pipes supported by the inner flanges, extended vertically and arrayed at intervals along the inner peripheral surface of the tower body. The tower body is formed as a plurality of vertically divided modules and the tower body is assembled by linking the modules by binding the inner flanges of the reinforcing steel frame.
