Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication unit in which useless power consumption can be avoided during communication.
SOLUTION: The communication unit 200 comprises a communication control means 230, and a decision means 240. The communication control means 230 controls power supply to a first communication means 210, and transmission of a first pulse signal to a main communication unit 100. Depending on presence/ absence of a reply from the main communication unit 100 to the pulse signal for the first communication means 210, the decision means 240 makes a decision through which one of a pulse signal (first signal) or a level signal (second signal) communication with the main communication unit 100 is possible. Based on the decision results, the communication control means 230 supplies power to anyone of the first communication means 210 or the second communication means 220, thus bringing about a state communicable through only one of the pulse signal or the level signal.
