Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commutator for a DC motor with an annular varistor and a riser part which eliminates adverse effect of a flux residue and prevents damage of the annular varistor due to a heating bar.SOLUTION: A commutator for a DC motor comprises a mold plate 7 through which a revolving shaft is fixed, an annular varistor 10 arranged on the mold plate, and a riser part 8a arranged in contact with both of the annular varistor and the mold plate 7. The commutator is characterized in that a region which joins the riser part 8a with a copper wire 6a in which a current flows is a region which includes a region 8m in contact with the riser part 8a and the mold plate 7, and a region 8n in contact with the riser part 8a and the annular varistor 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
