Abstract:
To provide a commutator in which thermal deterioration of an insulating body due to welding of a winding to a hook portion can be suppressed without increasing the number of steps, and an electric motor including the commutator.SOLUTION: A plurality of commutator segments 62 are disposed on the outer circumference of an insulating body so as to be separated from each other in the circumferential direction. Each of the commutator segments 62 includes a slide contact portion 64, a hook portion 65, an anchor portion 66, and a constricted portion 67. The slide contact portion 64 comes into slide contact with a brush device. The hook portion 65 is formed so as to be turned up from an end of the slide contact portion 64, and is electrically connected to a winding by being thermally bonded with the winding with the winding hooked thereon. The anchor portion 66 is disposed rearward of the slide contact portion 64 and is embedded in the insulating body. In the slide contact portion 64, the constricted portion 67 is disposed at the hook portion 65-side relative to the farthest portion, of the anchor portion 66, from the hook portion 65. The constricted portion 67 has a higher thermal resistance than the remaining portions of the slide contact portion 64.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
