Abstract:
To provide a commutator motor capable of securing a corresponding time before a brush is worn and the commutator motor cannot be driven.SOLUTION: A motor unit 300 comprises a brush device 10 disposed while opposing to an outer periphery of a commutator 360. The brush device 10 is provided with: a brush 11 for energizing the commutator 360; a brush holder 12 in which the brush 11 is internally movably arranged; a spring 13 for depressing the brush 11 against the commutator 360; a light emitting unit 40 that is provided on one side of the brush holder 12 and emits light toward the brush holder 12; and a light receiving unit 50 provided on the other side of the light emitting unit 40. A light emitting side through hole 20 and a light receiving side through hole 30 are formed in the brush holder 12. There are provided a detecting unit 81 for detecting wear of the brush 11 when an amount of light received by the light receiving unit 50 is equal to or larger than a first reference quantity, and a notification unit 83 for reporting when an amount of light received by the light receiving unit 50 is equal to or larger than a second reference quantity smaller than the first reference quantity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
