PURPOSE: To prevent cracking and splashing of cosmetic stuff even if the container is dropped and to reduce the weight of the container by providing a rubber gasket in an annular form between the lower lid of the container and a cosmetic stuff packing tray so as to generate a space between the lower lid and the cosmetic stuff packing tray.
CONSTITUTION: The cosmetic stuff packing tray 4 is circumferentially held to the lower lid 3 of the container by the silicone gasket 6 and is held in a floating state. The degree of floating is adjusted to, for example, 1.5mm and the thickness of the silicone rubber gasket is specified to 1mm. The upper lid 1 of the container is provided with a mirror 2 and the cosmetic stuff 5 is put therein. The production is executed by the process of molding the lower lid 3 of the plastic container at first, bringing a rubber compsn., such as silicone rubber, into contact with the circumference of its inside surface and curing the compsn. by heating to form the gasket 6. The cosmetic stuff packing tray 4 which is produced slightly undersized is then inserted into the gasket 6 to form the space between the lower lid 3 of the container and the cosmetic stuff packing tray 4.
