PURPOSE: To allow a compact disk being reproduced to be viewed from outside by providing a player body at a visible position in the front of a cabinet, covering this player body with a transparent front cover in an opening/closing state, and irradiating the compact disk by a strobe light emission body.

CONSTITUTION: The player body 2 is installed slanting about 25° below the horizon, a spindle 6 equipped with a turntable is provided at the center part, and a compact disk is loaded to reproduce information. The player body 2 where the compact disk is loaded is covered with the front cover 3 molded out of high-transparency acrylic resin, etc., in a dome shape. The compact disk in playback operation is irradiated by the strobe light emission body (not shown in figure) provided where the top surface of the disk can be irradiated at a period synchronizing with one turn of the disk, so that a description and a pattern on the disk are read sharply although it rotates.
