To provide a compact fluorescent lamp of which the base can be attached to a socket easily without rotating the base, and regardless of a positional relation between the base and the socket.

The compact fluorescent lamp 1 is characterized by having a push switch 9 prepared in a housing 1a for fixing the base 2 etc.; a fixing device 8 which is connected to the push switch 9, and moves in the base 2 in the axial direction in conjunction with the operation of the push switch 9; and a fixed terminal 3 which is prepared on the side wall of the base 2, goes in and out accompanied by the movement of the fixing device 8, and engages with a spiral groove 5a of the socket of an apparatus, when it is projected from the side wall.
