To raise the output of a rolling block, to suppress the outside dimension of a rolling line, especially of a wire-rod rolling line, to the minimum, and also to simplify the structure of the rolling block.
In a compact rolling block provided with two horizontal and parallel rolling lines L1, L2, this compact rolling block is provided with three peripheral transmission shafts 2, 3, 4 at the corners of an equilateral triangle. In this triangle, vertical stands VL, VR which are outward inclined are moved with the two peripheral transmission shafts 3, 4 on the lower side, and horizontal stands OL, OR which are inclined in the opposite direction are supported with the peripheral transmission shaft on the upper side. All the rolls of these stands are perpendicular to the two rolling lines L1, L2 and congruent.
