Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert steering torque to a mechanical displacement quantity in a simple constitution by setting a brush so as to be displaced on an outer circumferential part contact, comparing a long outer circumferential part contact with the brush in a wide range, making fine adjustment possible, and connecting the contact with the brush and contact pieces on the inner and outer circumference of electrodes. SOLUTION: A first and a second electrodes 70, 80 of a comparison switch 50 displacing according to the output of an input torque detecting device are provided with contacts having circular-arc-like long outer circumferential contacts, circular-arc-like short inner circumferential contacts, and connecting pieces electrically connecting between these contacts, and a brush displacing according to output of a proportional solenoid 30 is brought in contact with the outer circumferential contacts or the inner circumferential contacts of the first and second electrodes 70, 80. A pair of contact pieces conducted to outward lead wires are contacted with the inner circumferential contacts or the outer circumferential contacts of the first and second electrodes 70, 80 different from the contacts with which the brush is contacted, hence comparison between the contacts and the brush can be performed in a wide range, fine adjustment is made possible, and the whole device can be miniaturized.
