Abstract:
To obtain a composition containing poly(phenylene ether) resin and a polyester resin having an impact modifier distribution which realize improved mechanical properties such as improved notched Izod impact performances and improved impact resistance.
This composition comprises an electrophilic-group-containing poly(phenylene ether) resin, a polyester resin and a functionalized polyolefin- based resin and an elastomeric block copolymer. It can give articles having good impact resistance, ductility and tensile strength. It may further contain a reinforcement, a flame retardant and a flow improver. Articles produced from it are useful as automotive members.
