Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prepare a compatibilizer which is useful to compatibilize an ABS resin with a polyamide and gives a resin compsn. excellent in the moldability, etc., by copolymerizing a hydroxylated vinyl monomer, an arom. vinyl monomer, and a vinyl cyanide monomer. CONSTITUTION:0.1-70wt.% hydroxylated vinyl monomer (e.g. 2-hydroxypropyl methacrylate), 1-80wt.% arom. vinyl monomer (e.g. styrene), and 1-80wt.% vinyl cyanide monomer (e.g. acrylonitrile) in a wt. ratio of the arom. vinyl monomer to the vinyl cyanide monomer of (50:50)-(95:5) are copolymerized to produce a compatibilizer comprising a terpolymer with a number-average mol.wt. of 3000-1000000. 20-95 pts.wt. ABS resin, 5-80 pts.wt. polyamide, and 0.1-30 pts.wt. compatibilizer are compounded to give a thermoplastic resin compsn.
