Abstract:

PURPOSE:To provide the remarkably high efficiency of power generation by supplying combustion gas obtained from combustion of fossil fuel to heat exchangers of a closed cycle MHD generator, a gas turbine generator and a steam turbine generator. CONSTITUTION:High temperature region heat of combustion gas 1g formed of burnt fossil fuel 1e is supplied to a closed cycle MHD generator through a heat exchanger 1a. Combustion gas 2e is added to medium temperature region combustion gas 2g in a combustor 2b to form combustion gas 3g to be supplied to a gas turbine generator 2. Heat held by combustion gas 5g is supplied to a steam turbine generator through a heat exchanger 3a. Thus, heat of combustion gas in high, medium and low temperature regions can be effectively utilized for power generation so that remarkably high efficiency of generation can be obtained.
