PURPOSE: To obtain the subject conjugate (CLC) having potentiated diagnostic or therapeutic characteristics, comprising a target-oriented protein, a cytotoxic agent and a potentiating ingredient capable of promoting the interaction between the CLC and a target cell. CONSTITUTION: This target-oriented protein conjugate comprising (A) a target- oriented protein such as an antibody, antibody fragment, enzyme, biotin or avidin, (B) a cytotoxic agent such as radioactive nuclide, toxin or its fragment, medicinal or cytotoxic peptide, and (C) a potentiating ingredient selected from C1 : translocating/internalizing ingredient insertable into membrane at pH<7 or insertable into or across the membrane at pH6-8, C2 : anchoring peptide insertable into membrane at physiological pH levels, C3 : accessory ingredient capable of promoting the membrane preservation or translocation of the ingredients C1 and C2 and of promoting the target cell preservation of the CLC, C4 : membrane-soluble hydrophobic molecule capable of potentiating CLC preservation on cell surface, and C5 : intracellular preserving ingredient capable of promoting intracellular preservation of the CLC through binding to specific intracellular structure or a small organ.
