PURPOSE: To successively conduct the local press work by using various blocks and improve a working efficiency for the product, the constituting the upper mold and lower for press work with several kinds of divided blocks.

CONSTITUTION: When upper and lower molds are automatically brought in a press, upper and lower holders 26, 31 stop their motions in contact with pins 7, 15 and upper and lower pins 8, 16 protrude so as to locate holders 26, 31. Next, when the lower molding blocks 28, 29 are moved upward by a pin 11, the upper mold is moved downward and thus, the bending operation at both ends of the product 32 is conducted by upper and lower molding blocks. Then, while the upper mold moves upward and starts moving downward, the lower pin 11 is retreated, the upper pin 3 is moved downward and upper and lower molding blocks 28, 29, 23 are transferred. Thereafter, when the upper mold is moved downward, the bending operation at an arc-shaped part of the product 32 is conducted by upper and lower molding blocks. While the upper pattern moves upward and downward, the lower pin 11 is retreated, the upper pin 3 is moved downward and upper and lower molding blocks 29, 22 are transferred. Thereafter, when the upper pattern is moved downward, the bending operation at the boundary between an arc-shaped part and straight part of the product 32 is conducted by upper and lower molding blocks 22, 30.
