Abstract:
The method for the connecting of a first component (1,3) of a metal aluminide or a high melting point Ti-alloy to a second component (2) of steel, metal aluminide, or high melting point Ti-alloy entails introducing an intermediate piece (4) of a Ni-alloy between the first and second component and then carrying out a friction welding process. A connecting layer is formed from the intermediate piece and is rigidly connected on both sides to the first and respective second component. Independent claims are included for the following: (A) a turbocharger rotor with a turbine wheel (1), steel shaft (2), and a compressor wheel (3), whereby the turbine wheel and/or the compressor wheel are formed from metal aluminide and connected to the shaft via a connecting layer of Ni-alloy; and (B) a valve for internal combustion engines with a valve plate of metal aluminide connected to a steel stem via a connecting layer.
