PURPOSE: To reduce the load of a programmer relating to the formation of a picture object by composing a picture intermediate text by a composed picture instruction formed in a program and forming the picture object based upon the composed text.

CONSTITUTION: A composed picture instruction area 3-1 in which a composed picture name is described is formed in picture definition 2-1 of a program. A picture translating means 6 translates the picture definition 2-1 to form a picture intermediate text 7-1. A composed picture corresponding list forming means forms a composite picture corresponding list 8 indicating corresponding relation between a composed picture and the picture definition based on the composed picture name described in a composed picture specifying area 3-1. A composed picture extracting means 9 extracts a picture intermediate text from the text 7-1 in accordance with the list 8. A picture object forming means 13 forms a picture object from the text 7.
