In a composite beam joined with a steel-framed column and a steel-pipe (concrete) column, and end section 2a connected to the column 1 is formed only of a steel frame 3 consisting of H-steel or I-steel. A shear reinforcement 4 is arranged around the steel frame 3 composed of H-steel or I-steel in an adjacent section 2b continuing to the end section 2a while these steel frame and shear reinforcement are covered with concrete 5, and the shear reinforcement 4 is disposed between upper and lower flange materials 3a excepting the web material 3b of the steel frame 3 made up of H-steel at a central section 2c continuing to the adjacent section 2b while these flange materials and shear reinforcement are covered with concrete 5.
