Title:
COMPOSITE BLANK MATERIAL FOR SPECTACLE FRAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6135421
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve corrosion resistance, spring characteristic and resistance to die seizure by coating an Ag-Cu alloy on a metallic material having the spring characteristic.

CONSTITUTION: The wire-shaped composite blank material formed by using German silver having the spring characteristics as a core material and coating the corrosion-resistant Ag-10wt% Cu alloy to the surface thereof to about 0.1mm thickness is produced. Any metallic materials such as stainless steel, beryllium copper alloy, "Monel(R)", "Inconel(R)", titanium, titanium alloy which have the substantial spring characteristic may be used in addition to German silver. The spring characteristic and corrosion resistance required for the composite blank material for a spectacle frame are thus satisfied and ordinary golden-color plating such as Au plating is also easy.
