Abstract:
To provide a composite cable which meets the requirements for the water-barrier property and strength.
A composite cable 10 is composed of a core 12 part, tensile strength part 20, a conductor and water-barrier part 30, outer tape 50, and outer jacket 60. The core part has at least one fiber optic conductor, while the conductor and water-barrier part has a conductor twisted 32 and water- barrier members 36 and 37, and the tensile strength part has a strength member 22. This cable couples an optical fiber conductor 14 having a high bit speed capacity with an electric conductor 32 having an electric signal/power transmission capacity and meets the requirements for the water-barrier property and tensile strength.
