To prepare a composite coating by reducing wear in a ring and a cylinder bush as much as possible, preventing the occurrence of coagulation wear when lubrication is not enough, preventing cracks caused by fatigue and storing a suitable solid lubricant which is prepared for the lack of lubrication, in a layer.
A composite coating 1 having resistance to wear and which contains a mixture of particles 3 of a hard material and particles 5 of a solid lubricant 6 is applied onto a substrate 2. The particles 3, 5 are incorporated in a binder alloy 4. The respective particles of the lubricant 6 are enclosed by a protective envelope 7. The protective envelope 7 prevents the bonding of the components of the lubricant 6 to the components of the binder alloy 4 and the particles 3 of the hard material.
