Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the bonding strength by providing a bonding surface made of paper layer to a frame in a paper blank, providing an energy director on a bonding part of the frame to the paper blank, and performing the ultrasonic welding of the paper blank with the frame.
SOLUTION: A composite container comprises a frame 1 made of resin, and a paper blank 2 to be bonded to the frame 1. The frame 1 is obtained through injection molding of e.g. the resin, and an energy director is provided on a bonding part of the frame 1 to the paper blank 2. In manufacturing the composite container, the paper blank 2 is loaded on the prescribed position of the frame 1, and the frame 1 and the paper blank are bonded to each other through ultrasonic welding. Because the paper blank 2 absorbs the water to be evaporated from the content and the paper blank 2 can be warped, a process to set the paper blank 2 in the wet condition in advance is provided in the stage prior to the bonding of the frame 1 to the paper blank 2.
