Title:
COMPOSITE DIAMOND WIRE DRAWING DIE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09122739
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To draw a wire which is difficult to detach the crystal grain and has the high yield stress by containing a base body consisting of the single crystal diamond or the diamond by the high-temperature and high-pressure method, and the CVD diamond layer deposited thereon.

Wire drawing dies 10 are used to draw the wire of the prescribed diameter, and made of natural diamond or high-temperature high- pressure diamond. It is provided with a base body 12 having an upper surface 14, a lower surface 16, and a side surface 18, a side wall layer 20 of diamond deposited on the side surface 18 of the base body 12 by the chemical vapor deposition method, a wire supporting part 24 of substantially circular section, and a wire die opening 22 having the opening axis 26. The wire of preferably uniform property can be drawn by using the wire drawing dies 10.
