Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a composite elastic material having changeable viscoelastic property.
CONSTITUTION: A composite elastic material having changeable viscoelastic property corresponding to the strength of an electric field to be applied to the material is provided. Sheetlike elastic bodies where elastic layers are provided on the surfaces and they possess electric insulation property are combined into at least one set so that those electrode layers are faced directly on each other at intervals. The title material possesses structure where an electrically viscous liquid or an electric responding gel is enclosed in a space between the electrode layers facing on each other.
