To provide a composite fabric for paper making, capable of affording an area having excellent cushionability, fatigue resistance, surface character and moisture absorptionproofness.
This composite fabric 1A for paper making is made up of a base 2 and a cushioning resin material 3. The base 2 is a two-layer fabric with double weft and double warp composed of an obverse layer 21 and a reverse layer 22 both of which are joined via joining yarns 4 to each other, the obverse layer 21 is surface-polished at 30 μm and the surface of the reverse layer 22 representing the travel face is coated with an abrasion-resistant resin to form a reverse resin layer 5. The cushioning resin material 3 is a sheet-like polyurethane material 0.8 mm thick representing the paper making face side of the composite fabric 1A and bonded via a nylon resin adhesive to the obverse layer 21 side of the base 2 to effect unification.
