Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composite fasciated spun yarn having excellent elastic function and shape stability and useful for woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, etc., by applying a false-twisting processing including a thermal treatment to a specific composite fasciated spun yarn.
SOLUTION: This composite fasciated spun yarn W having an elastic recovery of ≥3% is obtained by fasciating a fiber bundle M comprising a thermoplastic multifilament yarn W1, such as a polyester multifilament yarn, arranged in a core portion and a staple fiber bundle W2 disposed in a sheath portion and subsequently applying a false twisting processing including a thermal treatment to the obtained composite fasciated spun yarn. The rate of the thermoplastic multifilament yarn W1 in the composite fasciated spun yarn W is preferably 20-70%.
