Abstract:

To provide a composite fixing belt generating neither a wrinkle nor a jam by making the shape of the outermost layer be of a reverse crown shape, in the fixing belt having a three-layered structure of a heat resisting base material, an elastic layer and a mold-releasable layer, and to provide its manufacturing method.

A precursor of the elastic layer with a predetermined thickness is formed in the reverse crown shape on the outer surface of the heat-resisting base material (a tube) which is preliminarily shaped into the reverse crown shape, while the precursor of the elastic layer being spouted at a predetermined velocity on the outer surface of the heat resisting base material layer and moved by controlling the velocity of the heat-resisting base material.
