To obtain a composite hardened body suitable for a core material of a composite building material excellent in flexural strength, design, heat- storing properties and weather resistance by allowing a fibrous material and a coloring material to exist together in an inorganic amorphous body composed of plural oxide systems.
This composite hardened body 1 is obtained by allowing 2-75 wt.% oriented fibrous material 3, e.g. an organic fibrous material composed of polysaccharides, such as a pulp (waste), a pulverized product of waste newspaper, and a coloring material 7 such as a suitable amount of ink and carbon to exist together in an inorganic amorphous body 2 composed of at least two or more kinds of oxide systems of silica, alumina, iron oxide, calcium oxide and the like, obtained by drying, aggregating and hardening an industrial waste such as papermaking sludge. Another objective composite building material is formed by using the composite hardened body as a core material, and forming a reinforcing layer at least on one surface thereof.
