Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composite hardened body useful as a building material and suitable as a plate material and a core material by molding and hardening an organic fibrous material composed of a polysaccharide in a dispersed state in an inorganic amorphous body.
SOLUTION: A material comprising an inorganic amorphous body 2 composed of at least one inorganic powder selected from the group consisting of an inorganic hardened body contained in a paper making sludge, baked powder of the paper making sludge, ground waste of glass and silica sand, 2-75 wt.% of an organic fibrous material 3 composed of a polysaccharide such as pulp, pulp waste, etc., a binder such as a thermosetting resin, e.g. a phenol resin, etc., or an inorganic binder, e.g. sodium silicate, a halogen such as chlorine, bromine or fluorine and a crystal such as calcium carbonate is molded and hardened into a plate state to give the objective hardened body 1 suitable for a plate building material.
