PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To gain resistance to a turning force and circular stress by the arrangement that fillet surfaces and the base of rib members form areas between the rib member and a tubular part which prevent the breakage of the rib members from the tubular part when an insert made by a lightweight composite material is stressed. SOLUTION: This insert 130 is made of a fiber reinforced material, etc., and mainly formed by a tubular part 132, an attached plate frame 134 and a reinforcing rib member 136. The attached plate structure 134 is joined to the outer side of the tubular part 132, resists turning and twisting stress when the insert 130 is burried into the bottom of a shoe and provides the rib members with a structural holding force to the rib members 136. The rib members 136 which reinforce the insert 130 and a fillet surface 148 which is provided between each side of the base 146 of the rib parts 136 and the tubular part 132 form enlarged shear areas at the joined areas of the rib members 136 and the tubular part 132. By the stress of these shear areas on the insert 130 the insert 130 can cope with the shearing force of the rib member 136 brought to the tubular part 132 by the stress of these shear areas on the insert 130.
