Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a high water resistance and high temperature change resistance for a composite glass-plastic lens mainly used for ophthalmic use. CONSTITUTION: A thin glass element is bonded to a relatively thick and transparent lens or a lens perform composed of poly(diethylene glycol)bis(allyl carbonate) by a transparent thermosetting polyurethane adhesive layer. The adhesive layer has an optical characteristics having, at least, 200% breaking point elongation and elasticity in the range 0.13-1.0 MPa under 100% extension coefficient.
