Title:
COMPOSITE LENS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6050501
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve an impact resistance and a heat shock resistance, and also to obtain an excellent optical characteristic by forming as one body a reinforced glass treated by a silane coupling agent, on both faces of a plastic lens.

CONSTITUTION: A reinforced glass 1 treated by using a silane coupling agent 2 is formed as one body on both faces of a plastic lens 3. A difference of a refractive index of such a plastic lens 3 and the reinforced glass 1 is set to ≤0.05, and also, as for the reinforced glass 1, a photochromic glass or a high refractive index glass is used. A composite lens of such a constitution forms a monomolecular film by using the silane coupling agent 2, and the reinforced glass 1 and the plastic lens 3 are formed as one body, therefore, both of them are coupled firmly, and also they do not have an adhesive layer whose refractive index is different, therefore, it also does not occur that a reflected image is seen double. In this way, it is possible to obtain a composite lens which is excellent in an impact resistance and a heat shock resistance, also does not contain a foreign matter, a foam, etc., and has a good optical characteristic.
