Abstract:
To provide a composite magnetic material capable of securing increased magnetic permeability and excellent withstand voltage performance, and a coil component containing the composite magnetic material.SOLUTION: A composite magnetic material contains resin and a first magnetic particle provided in the resin, the first magnetic particle has a first core made of a metal magnetic material and an insulation film covering the first core, the first core has a flat shape having a short axis and a long axis, and the thickness (T) in a long axis direction of the first core in the insulation film is smaller than the thickness (T) in a short axis direction of the first core in the insulation film.
