To provide a composite material that has a volume resistivity lower than SiC, SiC-Si or the like, which is a formation material of a component of an electrically heated converter (EHC), and has small temperature dependency of the volume resistivity, and thereby forms the high-performance component of EHC, an electrode film that is the component of EHC formed by the composite material, an electrode terminal and a base material with a honeycomb structure, and provide their manufacturing methods.
A composite material comprises at least one kind of Si and SiC, and MoSi2, and is a formation material of a component of an electrically heated catalyst converter. An electrode film 2, an electrode terminal 3 and a base material 1 are manufactured from the composite material.
