An intermediate phase 11 having predetermined thickness, apparent elastic modulus Ei, app and apparent flocculation energy Ui, app is allowed to be present at the position containing the fibers 10. At this time, the relation of Ei, app<Em, app is set and the relation of Ui, app>Um, app is set. By this constitution, the strength and tenacity of a composite material are rationally improved.
