To provide an associated composite material for pigment especially useful as high quality emulsion paint intended to high durability.
The associated composite material for pigment is composed of a composite particle comprising one or more titanium dioxide particles and one or more organic polymer particles having not film forming property. The titanium dioxide particle has positive surface charge, the organic polymer particle has negative surface charge, and this surface charge allows the titanium dioxide particles to be kept in association state with the polymer particle. The composite particles is composed of a granular composite material containing the organic polymer and titanium dioxide in a volume ratio of 0.3:1-0.6: 1 of organic polymer based on titanium dioxide in volume.
