Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the composite metallic plate having good joint strength by specifying the max. hardness of the diffusion layer at the boundary of two layers of the composite metallic plate constituted of iron and aluminum to the values within a specific range.
CONSTITUTION: This composite metallic plate consists of the two layers; the iron for one surface and the aluminum for the other, and the diffusion layer having ≤200 max. hardness (Hv) exists at the boundary of the iron layer and the aluminum layer. The composite metallic plate having the excellent joint strength is thus obtd.
