Title:
COMPOSITE MICROSTRIP LINE ANTENNA
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5553905
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To secure the non-directivity within the horizontal plane and the sharp directivity within the vertical plane respectively with formation of a composite antenna by sticking together two MSL (microstrip line) antennas of the plane symmetry.

CONSTITUTION: MSL antenna 101 is formed with Franklin-type strip conductor 1a and earth conductor 1b featuring the width of under the half wavelength. Then MSL antenna 102 containing strip conductor 1b and earth conductor 2b and featuring the plane symmetry to antenna 101 is stuck with antenna 101 back to back via conductors 2a and 2b. Thus a composite antenna is formed. Then feeding points Sa and Sb of these two MSL antennas are excited with the same phase, and as a result the non-directivity and the sharp directivity can be obtained within the horizontal plane and the vertical plane respectively. Also the same-type antenna can be formed even with the crank-type MSL although the non-directivity is sacrificed some within the horizontal plane.
