Abstract:
To obtain both a composite polyester resin excellent in electrification stability and blocking resistance when used as a binding resin for a toner and the electrophotographic toner comprising the composite polyester resin.
This composite polyester resin is obtained by binding a polyester resin to a silicone oil which is a silicone oil having ≥2 functional groups at the molecular terminal. The composite polyester resin is prepared by polymerizing a polyhydric alcohol, a polyvalent carboxylic acid compound and the silicone oil having ≥2 functional groups at the molecular terminal. The electrophotographic toner comprises the composite polyester resin and a colorant.
